17 French startups in the running for the prestigious Galien Prize “Best Startup 2022” Award
The Galien Foundation honors and rewards the best healthcare innovations through what has become the most coveted prize for healthcare project leaders.
Business France has been a partner of the Galien Foundation since 2013, supporting the international development of the most promising French startups. They are selected by a world-renowned jury and are connected to the best American firms. In almost 10 years, the Galien Prize “Best Startup” Award has become as a real springboard for French businesses, with more than 130 collaborative projects signed, Franco-American partnerships established and US$270 million raised.
This year, no fewer than 17 French startups are participating in the competition to win the prestigious prize, compared with nine last year, which reflects the speed of development of the French ecosystem in terms of innovation in the healthcare sector. Two French businesses, Novadiscovery and Therapixel, are also among the nominees for the Galien Prize “Best Digital Healthcare Solution,” which rewards the most promising projects in digital healthcare. The Future4Care incubator was selected in the new Galien Prize category entitled “Incubators, Accelerators and Equity”.
This new category recognizes the role of incubators who support project leaders, in successive waves, by offering access to leading advisors, peer support and economic support to advance innovation in the field of life sciences.
