Since 1981, this emblematic site in the Pas-de-Calais region has embodied McCain's commitment to the environment, thanks to investments of nearly 300 million euros. The Harnes site produces 720 tonnes of French fries and 41 tonnes of potato flakes every day.

For over four decades, McCain has been striving to minimize its environmental impact. By investing heavily in cutting-edge technologies, McCain has succeeded in reducing CO2 emissions by 50% since 2010, optimizing water consumption by 30% and cutting industrial waste by 40%. Innovation is at the heart of McCain's strategy. The Harnes site has benefited from numerous technological improvements, such as the installation of more efficient and environmentally-friendly production systems. McCain also continues to invest in research and development, with an annual budget of €50 million.
