Eighth edition of the “Choose France” summit: France, a land of creativity

On Monday, May 19, 2025, the Palace of Versailles hosted the eighth edition of the “Choose France” summit, the flagship event promoting France’s economic attractiveness.

With more than 400 foreign participants representing 46 nationalities, this summit served as a showcase for French creativity and innovation.

This year, 53 investment announcements amounting to €40.8 billion were made, enabling the creation of nearly 13,000 direct and indirect jobs. 

Artificial intelligence with the United Arab Emirates’ MGX, the mobility of tomorrow with Italian firms POMA, Iveco Group and the Japanese group Nidec Motor Corporation, renewable energies with the German EnBW mobility+ AG & Co. KG, creative and cultural industries with American firm Netflix, connected healthcare with British business GSK, cosmetics with the American leader The Estée Lauder Companies Inc., logistics or the circular economy with Belgian firm FUTERRO, all business sectors were included, thereby re-affirming the strength of French innovation, the excellence of its expertise and its infrastructures, without forgetting the quality of its decarbonized electricity model. 

Like every year, Business France teams have been actively involved in organizing bilateral exchanges between the President of France, members of the government and business leaders, and in participating in the selection of announced investment projects.

Other announcements from this edition included: 

  • Brookfield (Canada) 

The investment firm has confirmed its desire to develop artificial intelligence infrastructure in northern France via its Data4 platform, as announced at the Artificial Intelligence Action Summit. 

  • Prologis (United States) 

The investment trust, which specializes in logistics real estate, has announced that it will strengthen its presence in France with the development of 750,000 sq. m. of additional logistics space over the next three years in several French regions. It will also develop four major data center projects in Ile de France (Paris region). 

  • Revolut (United Kingdom) 

The fintech business has announced the opening of its new Western European headquarters in Paris (Ile de France region), with an application for approval as a credit institution and the creation of 200 jobs. 

  • MSC Cruises (Switzerland) 

The Swiss cruise line has announced an order for two new ships, which will be built by Chantiers de l’Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire (Pays de la Loire region). 

  • Coleo (Spain) 

The leading textile recycling firm has announced the establishment of a new textile recycling site in the Grand Est region.

Since the first “Choose France” summit in 2018 and up to and including 2024, 178 investment announcements have been made, rising to a total of €46.9 billion. 

Some have come to fruition just recently – Snapchat announced the creation of its first-ever center of excellence dedicated to augmented reality at the 2021 summit. This center, AR Studio Paris, was inaugurated on the morning of the 2025 edition, in the presence of President Emmanuel Macron of France.
