Strategic presence at the 2025 Davos World Economic Forum

The 55th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting (WEF) took place in Davos, Switzerland, from January 20-24, 2025, with Business France in attendance.

27/01/2025

This prestigious event brought together thousands of business leaders, entrepreneurs, influencers and political leaders from around the world to debate global issues and find common solutions to the challenges of today and tomorrow, whether it be the rise of artificial intelligence, the decarbonization of industry or the fight against global warming.

Strategic support for French businesses

Thanks to the support from Business France and historic partners, such as the French Tech Mission (Businesses Directorate), four French businesses (Coreod, Quandela, Sekoia.io and Kayrros), along with the EPA Paris-Saclay, were able to strengthen their existing relationships, meet major foreign accounts and position themselves as leaders in their sector.

Strong presence marked by key events

Business France organized three themed lunches to showcase the French businesses in attendance and French excellence in various sectors:

  • January 21: “Healthcare Innovation – HealthTech France: Investing in the Future of Global Healthcare Innovation.”
  • January 22: “DeepTech and Artificial Intelligence – France Forward: Pioneering Economic Growth in DeepTech, AI and Quantum Technology.”
  • January 23: “Sustainable Development – Green France: Investing in a Sustainable Future.”

Furthermore, a “France evening” was organized in partnership with Capgemini, which was attended by around a hundred people. This event brought together the French community present in Davos and several French ministers (Jean-Noël Barrot, Marc Ferracci, Clara Chappaz, Laurent Saint-Martin and Benjamin Haddad), as well as foreign decision-makers.

Pascal Cagni, Ambassador for International Investment, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Business France, played a crucial role in hosting his four events and co-ordinating a series of high‑level meetings. These targeted gatherings highlighted the opportunities that France offers to foreign investors and strengthened relationships with key partners.

This year, the World Economic Forum has once again served as a unique setting for French businesses to have meetings and exchanges to build and shape the world of tomorrow.
