“Vision Gulf 2026”: The forum that transforms ambitions into action

With nearly 1,200 participants and more than 2,000 B2B meetings in two days, “Vision Gulf 2026” confirmed its role as a catalyst for projects between France and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

29/06/2026

In a regional geopolitical environment marked by persistent tensions, the economies in the GCC display solid fundamentals and sustained growth momentum. Driven by ambitious diversification strategies, particularly in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, they are strengthening their position as a strategic hub between Europe, Asia and Africa.

In this context, boosting economic cooperation with France appears as the main driving force to support these large-scale transformations.

An action-oriented edition

Opened at the Ministry for the Economy, Finance and Industrial, Energy and Digital Sovereignty in the presence of French ministers, Roland Lescure , Minister for the Economy, Finance and Industrial, Energy and Digital Sovereignty, Nicolas Forissier ,  Minister Delegate with responsibility for Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness, and His Excellency Engineer Khalid bin Saleh Al-Mudaifer , Vice Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Mining Affairs in Saudi Arabia, “Vision Gulf 2026” brought together public and private players around a shared objective: to fast-track investments, structure new partnerships and realize projects.

The first day was punctuated by high-level roundtables and sector-based discussions focusing in particular on investment, artificial intelligence, industry, logistics and human capital.

Sector-based dynamics already at work

The discussions confirmed the intensity of opportunities in several key sectors:

  • Energy and industry, with a surge in investment.

  • Water and decarbonization, driven by immediate needs and projects to be organized rapidly.

  • Artificial intelligence, where real use cases and partnerships are already being discussed.

  • Strategic sectors (defense, space, logistics), around more resilient and integrated value chains.

These dynamics illustrate an unprecedented alignment between the region’s investment ambitions and the French capabilities for resilience.

Initial tangible results

Beyond the discussions, several announcements have materialized this momentum, including the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Qandela and Mekdam Technology, a symbol of cooperation that translates directly into industrial and technological projects.

The numerous B2B meetings organized throughout the event also helped to generate new business opportunities and future partnerships.

Cooperation that is changing scale

Institutional interventions highlighted a fundamental shift: cooperation between France and GCC countries is reaching a new stage, with key projects set to be rolled out on a large scale in the coming years.

Towards a new phase of development

By confirming its ability to transform intentions into real achievements, “Vision Gulf” is establishing itself as an essential platform for economic dialogue between France and GCC countries.

This edition is already preparing for the next meeting, with a reinforced ambition: to support the scaling up of projects and to sustainably establish cooperation within a logic of impact and transformation.
