Global Industrie 2024: Launch of the “Team France Industry of the Future”

The creation of this  “Team France” sector seeks to establish effective collaboration and organization for the development of French industry, both in terms of exports and in the search for foreign investors.

25/03/2024

The aim of the “Team France Industry of the Future” sector is to support and expand the international activity carried out by Business France and the strategic agreement of the “Industry of the Future Solutions” sector.

The “Team France Industry of the Future” sector is committed to several areas of collaboration: establishing a map of priority export markets, discussions on strategic issues, identification of French strengths, measures to help international development, multi-annual programming, identification of technological needs, communication on co-operation and support for Industry of the Future Ambassadors. These combined efforts aim to strengthen the position of French industry on the international scene.

Industry is a key sector of the national economy, which includes more than 32,000 businesses generating 500,000 jobs, thereby constituting the third largest contributor to France’s gross domestic product. France has been the leading European country for hosting foreign manufacturing projects for several years, investments which benefit the whole country.

Since 2018, under the auspices of Team France Export, more than 3,866 industrial firms have benefited from export support, highlighting the effectiveness of this collaboration between French key players. In 2023, some 1,569 businesses were supported in their international industrial activities.

“The Industry of the Future is also the long-term future of industry. Automation, robotization, intelligent and connected devices, integration of digital, data and artificial intelligence in factory management and production processes: these are the keys to our success in the re-industrialization of France and the decarbonization of industry. In this business, we can’t be dependent on foreign supply alone, and that is why the solutions providers for the Industry of the Future sector is so important to me. Congratulations to Business France, the Alliance for the Industry of the Future, Evolis, Polymeris and France Additive for this partnership, which will boost our sector’s profile even further.”

Roland Lescure, Minister Delegate to the Minister for the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, with responsibility for Industry and Energy

“Thanks to the re-industrialization policy vigorously promoted for seven years by President Emmanuel Macron, to the reforms to our business environment, to the “France 2030” investment plan and to the excellence of our startups in the field of artificial intelligence and quantum computing, our country has been able to foster the development of French startups from the Industry of the Future and attract major investors.”

Franck Riester, Minister Delegate to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, with responsibility for Foreign Trade, Economic Attractiveness, French Nationals Abroad and French-Speaking Communities

“The creation of the “Team France Industry of the Future” sector represents a decisive step in our commitment to the international development of French industry and the support of our French businesses for exports worldwide. By joining forces with key players in the sector, we’re strengthening our ability to attract foreign investors and promote innovation, thereby positioning France as an undisputed leader in the Industry of the Future on the global stage.”
