V.I.E Connect 2025: a day to connect talent and businesses

On November 4, 2025, the Carreau du Temple in Paris hosted V.I.E Connect 2025, a day that brought together over 200 recruiters and more than 1,500 young applicants.

This event enabled candidates to meet directly with businesses, ask specific questions and, for some, secure their first international assignment.

Throughout the day, participants were able to listen to business pitches, presentations by country experts and feedback from former candidates. Discussions focused on the process of working abroad, local life, intercultural challenges and practical advice on how to make a successful application and integrating fully while overseas.

The forum also showcased the program’s partners: France Travail, Apec and the French Foreign Trade Advisors, as well as associations committed to equal opportunities and professional integration. Young people were able to receive personalized advice, have a professional photo taken for their CV and learn about the V.I.A program, which opens doors to assignments within the French administration abroad.

The day featured several highlights, including:

  • An overview of current international events.

  • A focus on the role of women internationally.

  • Market access strategies.

  • The presentation of a new survey carried out with the EDHEC NewGen Talent Centre.

  • Edvance, a driving force behind the relaunch of the V.I.E program in the United Kingdom.

  • Flying Whale , a symbol of a new generation of innovative and responsible international firms.

This year’s edition was also an opportunity to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the V.I.E program, an initiative that has enabled more than 120,000 young people to undertake missions in 118 countries, working for 10,000 French businesses. Today, 11,500 young people are on assignment, with an average duration of 19 months, and 43% of those taking part are women. Businesses, from SMEs to large corporations, see it as a driver of performance and international attractiveness.

This event confirmed the program’s momentum: diverse profiles, global exposure, skills development and career acceleration. Testimonials from former participants, representing various sectors and destinations, highlighted the wealth of career paths and the value added of this experience.

V.I.E Connect 2025 served as a unique space for participants to network, plan for the future and seize new international opportunities. This event is part of a long-standing and recognized program that supports French talent and businesses worldwide.
