Louis Margueritte

Louis Margueritte is a senior civil servant and public official, with ministerial and parliamentary experience.

A graduate of École Polytechnique and ENSAE, and a Chief Engineer in the Corps des Mines, he began his career in public administration, working at the General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF) and the Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority (ACPR), then at the Treasury Directorate (DG Trésor), where he was successively responsible for missions relating to funding and businesses. He also served as Secretary General to the Interministerial Committee for Industrial Restructuring from 2018 to 2020.

In January 2021, he was appointed Chief of Staff to the Minister Delegate for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Alain Griset, then Deputy Chief of Staff to the Minister for the Economy, Finance and Recovery Bruno Le Maire and Deputy Chief of Staff to Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne.

Elected Member of Parliament for the fifth constituency of Saône-et-Loire in the June 2022 elections, he served on the Finance Committee of the National Assembly, addressing economic, industrial and business support issues until June 2024. He was the rapporteur in the National Assembly for the Act of Parliament transposing into law the interprofessional agreement on the sharing of value.

In December 2024, following his parliamentary term, he joined the office of Prime Minister François Bayrou as Deputy Chief of Staff, a position he held alongside Sébastien Lecornu at Matignon until February 2026.

Drawing on this extensive administrative and political experience, he was appointed to lead Business France and assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer in February 2026.
